Hype surrounding Kanye West: In a controversial festival performance by the rapper a spectator interrupts the concert. The action is reminiscent of the MTV Video Music Awards 2009. West still reacts usual cool.
Schreck minute for Kanye West: During a performance at the Glastonbury Festival in southwest England, a viewer jumps to the stage. The concert, which will be broadcast live on British television, must be briefly interrupted. The man is not at all a fan of the US rapper.
Instead, it is the British comedian Lee Nelson, as reported, the “Daily Mail”, among others. During West’s performance he arrives, armed with its own microphone, the stage and mocked the rapper with exaggerated gestures. On his T-shirt was “Lee-zus,” alluding to West’s album “Yeezus”. After the Security Nelson had removed from the stage, sat West, very professional, his appearance without further comment continued.
Wests appearance at the Glastonbury Festival was born under an unlucky star. An online petition, which would rather see a rock band in his place, collected more than 130,000 signatures – even death threats against the festival director Emily Eavis said to have given it. Despite all protests but he was allowed his appearance yet absolvieren- much to the delight of Lee Nelson.
