In the new case in Lucerne Commissioner Flückiger is dirty bank secrets on the track – and lies down with powers, against which he can only lose. The Swiss “Tatort” actually has everything that makes a good thriller. But only actually.
“Brazil, Vacations And, actually, I do not want to leave here: Switzerland is such a beautiful country, Mr Matt man,” says the very rich German State Secretary Demand with an almost insolent gaiety which both the viewer and Eugen Mattmann the air robbed. The Lucerne Government has just got a call from Commissioner Reto Flückiger and learned that the man whom he has courted until recently by all the rules of art and then escorted to the airport, several lives on his conscience – everything only to one to keep control dirty secret under wraps. But evidence is demand nothing: “They are more powerful than us,” resigned Flückiger. Demand and Matt Mann arrive at the airport. End. What a bang.
It happens very rarely that the final scene of a “crime scene” so intense and lasting branding into memory like this. “Traces” is an extremely dense and gloomy political thriller, so the do not want to fit into the sleepy Lucerne at first glance. Since flees a bank employee to driving electronic sounds in agony through the picturesque downtown; High finance and politics fiddle with each other before the grand picture postcard of Lake Lucerne; and the deeper Flückiger and his colleague Ritschard dig into the depths of the murder case, like a 08/15 Jealousy Drama anmutet first, the paranoid are also the two investigators. The unconditional pessimism, almost unbroken spread over 90 minutes, gets caught – and highlights this “crime scene” boldly out of the Sunday pabulum
Story with suction
This is all the more surprising, because to. beginning of the new episode does not have too much to conclude that bends here a real story-heavy weight with a singularly important and relevant main theme around the corner. In the first half hour you have to force yourself literally, not wegzuzappen: From the hysterical wife paranoid to unintentionally comical Nazi grandma actors pale therefore come at best. Flückiger and Ritschard even obtain robust, calmly – you could even say boring. How much power unfold the excellent screenplay (Martin Maurer) and the Director, Tobias Ineichen, right here is clear: the acting performance draws, except the Commissioner, not noticeably – but it simply do not care, as soon as the story unfolds its pull. ” / p> More on the topic
All good so in Canton? Unfortunately not. The lousy synchronization consistently torpedoed the otherwise dense atmosphere of the strip. Clearly, the problem is a well-known and has led over the previously published six episodes to the fact that the Swiss cases even include the audience to the most unpopular. This makes it but not better: The Voices of High German version sound strange alien and to top it all rarely lip-sync. Typical Swiss terms such as “to park” or “sidewalk” act in the otherwise accent put forward dialogues such as foreign bodies. Consequently it would have been to provide the Swiss German original version with subtitles – finally a local coloring of the “crime scene” is highly appreciated
You want this “crime scene” love for his compelling story and the bold end -. Yet the terrible synchronization makes the seemingly impossible. After all: The already declared dead by many Swiss “Tatort” has demonstrated its powerful potential in many cases. And who knows? Perhaps the decision makers act in SRF next time as courageous as director Ineichen.
