Sin City 2 – A Dame To Kill For: Ugly murderer and hot ladies – STAR

R egisseur Robert Rodriguez has left tidy time. Nearly ten years passed between his legendary comic book adaptation “Sin City” and has now been launched in the cinemas Sequel. 2005 was its cinematic realization of noir comics by American author and artist Frank Miller a small sensation: aesthetically mature, expressionistic and innovative, black and white and very, very brutal. That it had so far not given. Now we kidnapped the director of such spectacles as “From Dusk Till Dawn” and “Machete Kills” again in this cesspool of a town called Sin City. Once again, Miller, creator of the gloomy detective stories, as co-director is included. Just as some actors from the predecessor. Bruce Willis, Jessica Alba and Mickey Rourke

“Sin City 2″, which linked four episodes, mainly based on Frank Miller’s graphic novel ” A Dame To Kill For “and the story” Just Another Saturday Night “. DC in the issuing episode we meet one of the protagonists of the first “Sin City” movie again, Marv (Rourke), who simply can not remember where all the dead kids come around him and what he has to do. The focus of the film but the episode is about Dwight (Josh Brolin) and his ex Ava (Eva Green), who once broke his heart. Now she asks him again for help, they want to get rid of her abusive husband, and Dwight, who would really only have his rest, must find out whether Ava is really a lady for whom the killing worthwhile.

The city of sin is populated by lonely, so desperate as lost souls. Around every corner lurks the crime, here a dark gambling den, as a strip club. Ill shapes, ugly murderer and sexy prostitutes gangs. Women who drink vodka straight from the bottle. Laws do not count, and police are also in “Sin City 2″ little more than pathetic idiots who can be of hot ladies too quickly turn your head. It’s the big subjects of love, betrayal and grief; therefore, that there is no justice without sin over and over again to revenge. Not each of the four storylines is really gripping, the bone-dry, hard hitting dialogues but from Frank Miller’s spring also sit this time as punches.

It’s nice that Rourke (“The Wrestler”), Alba (“Fantastic Four”) and Willis (“Die Hard”) are also in the second part of “Sin City” here – in particular through the game of warhorses Rourke and Alba, as desperate for revenge musing Gogo dancer, fascinated and partly touches. Joseph Gordon-Levitt (“Inception”), Ray Liotta (“Goodfellas”), a strong Josh Brolin (“Oldboy: in the dance but the performer, of which here behaves like a cooler than the other, also the new faces say “), but above all a beguiling Eva Green (” 300: Rise of an Empire “) as a Femme Fatale. On top of the cast holds even ready few minor highlights: Pop star Lady Gaga as a waitress and still more the appearance of Christopher Lloyd (of fans mainly for its legendary part in “Back to the Future” worshiped) as drug dependent Backyard doctor.

Like its predecessor from 2005 now lives “Sin City 2″ as far as possible by his actors and values its special aesthetics. Stunning light-dark contrasts, black and white images whose appeal and gloom be increased by a few loud splash of color. To develop Greens wonderfully garish green eyes only in contrast to the darkness of the rest of the film frame their uncanny presence and power of seduction. This applies also for their fiery red lips – all of then assassinated film characters that are topped in that shared over 18 years working only from the liter sprayed, deep red blood. “Sin City 2″ is an extremely brutal, cynical, nihilistic and erotically charged comic trip in 3D, entertains, but whose narrative arcs but hardly surprising.
