With “Wonderful Life”, he landed in the 1980s a big hit, now the British singer Colin Vearncombe aka “Black” has died at the age of 53 years – after a serious car accident.
With “Wonderful Life” he ended up in the 80′s a big hit, now the British singer Colin Vearncombe aka Black has died at the age of 53 years. 16 days after a serious car accident he had succumbed to his injuries in the presence of his family on Tuesday, it said on its Facebook page.
The musician was in the accident near the town of Cork in southern Ireland has been critically injured in the head. He was put into an artificial coma. On Sunday his condition deteriorated further, however.
Blacks known song “Wonderful Life” stormed the European charts in 1987. The singer came from Liverpool player, but he lived in Ireland. Briton leaves a wife and three sons. After the funeral the immediate family a memorial service in his English hometown is scheduled. (AFP)
