Groundhog Day started – Südwestpresse

A great literary fun of Hanser Publishers: a serial novel in the Internet age. The author Tilman Rammstedt writes daily and publicly to read along – and then published in May, the book

.

“He felt the leather, the silver buckles, let them jump up and opened the trunk., Bloody hell, right? ‘”

And now? What’s in the suitcase there? What’s next in the story? And anyway, what’s going on, the early 70s in Frankfurt, where a wannabe metropolis hoodlum named Dimitri the father of the narrator “with expertly cast-feet” in the Main casts, this, however, reappears by vigorous sneezing and makes the mafia Plot? And when the man met his future wife, who meanwhile another 1,000 kilometers to the south, in Marseille, wanders? They had planned to sleep with a Frenchman, but fell because of wrong ingested rabies tablets fainted and mourns her dead twin sister anyway to Eva.

Well. The reader needs patience and waiting anxiously: “Tomorrow more”! So is also the new novel by Tilman Rammstedt whose appearance the Munich Hanser Verlag has announced for the middle of May – but the title says it all, because since 11 January wrote the Bachmann Prize winner on his book: public, day after day. The time-honored, printed in magazines and newspapers serialized novel of Alexandre Dumas (“The Three Musketeers”), or Erich Maria Remarque (“Im Westen nichts Neues”) to some extent 4.0 – correctly, the Internet age rarely invents anything but sold the idea with new media and . interactive

Anyone who enters into a subscription, receives daily a new chapter of “morning more” (excluding weekends), except that Rammstedt just live writes the story in front of the reader developed – and with their Comments can strike up a conversation with the author the same. This moody Frenchman about in Chapter 3 is called Jean-Baptiste Drieu de la Chapelle – but should that be? Could, in the printed book, not Souchay de la Duboissière with the last name, asks a certain NP: “Then sit ‘I the great family day 2017 smooth two to three dozen copies from In pre-revolutionary times once wore a carrier of that name on his inheritance in. one of our foremothers, because we remember today Klütgenbrinks and Katte Roths are of course happy… ” Rammstedt answers: “Two to three dozen copies I just talked already with the sales from the publisher: doubling the targeted launch pad is adopted champagne..!”

Okay, well this chat maybe part of the dramatization. But the successful Hanser very professional and very entertaining. And it is a good tactic of the publisher: The can happily watch how its author provides. The writer’s block of Hemingway, the decades of futile requests for Text of Siegfried Unseld in Wolfgang Koeppen? Hanser boss Jo Lendle can sit back.

And the 40-year-old Rammstedt supplies. Yes, wait a minute, the smartphone whistles. A Whatsapp message, at 8:20 clock. The new result is there, on the phone to read at breakfast: “Day 10 – January 22, 2016″. But what’s going on? There is at first only the “neuneinhalbte Chapter”, in which it Dimitri speechless, which have generally to do with his life, “which is simply too large to sometimes not to get lost in it…”

It also has started a crisis? He cooks Fruit and showered him away, insulted the calendar because of threatening April the deadline of the novel – and then he was at midnight were still in the publisher where they him “half-hearted” recommended to write something about the mother. But there is still a tenth chapter, in the said case plays a role.

The mother? Rammstedt started furiously on his first day: “I know everything,” confesses the narrator, counts everything on what he is experiencing: “It must have been a full life.” But he is not even born! But watching his father and his mother, as if he were there. “Tomorrow more” is a pop cultural picaresque crime – or something like that: fast writing, fanciful, witty. Hopefully Rammstedt holds by

Ah, the phone whistles again. Hanser sends a TV Pause image and wants a nice weekend. So until tomorrow.
