“Polizeiruf: wetlands” lit late Matthias Brandt, in a melancholy One … – t-online.de

All against one: In “Polizeiruf: wetlands” is fighting Hanns von Meuffels (Matthias Brandt) against powerful money slide. And at the end of the painful experience, that even his own boss (Ulrich Noethen) is with the conspirators swamp. Unfortunately, this Mix of Thriller and Psychodrama was only moderately exciting – and mostly came too late in the journey.

Hanns von Meuffels is asked by a woman to help, he has brought five years ago in a closed psychiatry. Julia Wendt (Judith angel), the should have fired her husband, told him the list of an ominous black money and claims that she is being monitored by police officers and threatened. Just as the Commissioner begins to believe her, she is killed.

Total Surveillance and total Paranoia?

He goes on the search of the list, and feels increasingly self-monitored and threatened. Alone, he fights against a financial mafia. A fight that seems to overwhelm him and finally, even in the closed psychiatry.

What school grade you give the “Polizeiruf: wetlands”?

tribute to the spy thrillers of the 60s

Matthias Brandt plays the persecuted and slightly paranoid Commissioner very convincing. “Wetlands” is a One-Man Show, and he delivers her usual outstanding performance as an actor. Also the antagonist, the corrupt police-man, Dell, is a very cool and confident of Oliver Masucci. Masucci would also have made spy movies of the 60s, an extremely good figure.

question mark at the end

The Film attempts to let the audience long in suspense about whether von Meuffels in the conspiracy against him long, or whether he has actually stirred up a hornet’s nest. This is, however, in the first 50 minutes of long-winded. Also, you don’t understand really, why the Commissioner is familiar at the end of all things, his boss, where he encountered this previously rather with suspicion.

contrived Strange fake death scene

Strange and almost involuntarily funny, the death scene of Julia Wendt: “‘Must I die now?’ ‘Yes.’ ‘I don’t want to.’ ‘I know.’” Also her constantly expanded blood eye had annoying eye-catching and effect outspread.

The end disappointed

conclusion: This “call” was to match the Season – a total Depressed-crime, which was, unfortunately, late exciting. He ended with a fatal betrayal made it more dreary. The actors were top, but the script would not have deserved more dynamic.
