Actually, he did nothing. He was so because only stoic. With an expressionless face, white trousers and a white shirt. Only the red suspenders and red shoes gave little splash of color. Even the hands he barely moved. Somehow the batons have nevertheless found the drum. So the performance of Peter Behrens, when he in 1982 with the highly minimalist name Trio stormed the charts with singer Stephan Remmler and guitarist Krawinkel claw in a trio. With songs like “Da da da, I do not love you, you love me”, which offered little melody and less text. The always parodies of the music market were yet even became hits. They became anti-pop stars. They were co-founders of a whole wave of Neue Deutsche Welle. And shaped the sound of an entire decade.

Now Peter Behrens died with 68 years in a hospital in Wilhelmshaven, like his daughter the “Bild” newspaper confirmed. After a kidney failure he had for days in a coma. After a futile hemodialysis the 68-year-old

died of multiple organ failure. For four years was Behrens with trio at the top, also played in films like “Three against Three” with. After the dissolution of the band but he plunged deep, long time was a drug addict, repeatedly unemployed and in financial crunch. As a pensioner he planned again a comeback and took in 2014 with singer Ecki Schrader a single with the telling title “I Am The No-where Man” out. The following year, he suffered then three strokes and had to learn to ever be able to speak again.

Stephan Remmler is now the last survivor of the former cult band Trio. Claw Krawinkel is already 2014 died with 66 years.
