The drama “Desde allá” the director Lorenzo Vigas from Venezuela won the Golden Lion at the 72nd International Venice Film Festival. That gave the judges on Saturday night announced. The drama is Vigas’ feature film debut. Competing 21 posts were competing for the awards. President of the nine-member jury was this year the Mexican director Alfonso Cuarón (“Gravity”).

  • Premio Marcello Mastroianni for the best young actors: Abraham Attah for “Beasts of No Nation” by Cary Fukunaga

The Venice Film Festival is the oldest in the world. It is in addition to the festivals in Berlin and Cannes to the main industry. Last year, a work from Sweden who won the Golden Lion: The director Roy Andersson was for his episodic film narrated “A Pigeon Sat on a Branch Reflecting on Existence” award
