Euro Vision Song Contest: Ann Sophie hopes on Finale – RP ONLINE

Hanover. In the German national final for the Euro Vision Song Contest today wrestle eight bands for the attention of the audience. By Jörg Isringhaus

It could be Ann Sophie’s big day. Tonight (ARD at 20:15 clock) wrestles the previously unknown musician in the German national final in Hannover with seven competitors for the finals of the Euro Vision Song Contest (ESC). Last year, sang with the female trio Elaiza also a band for Germany, which no one had on the note. Elaiza had as Ann Sophie won a wild card for the qualifying round and this decision for themselves. But not only that predestined Ann Sophie for the victory – the 24-year-old also has the best songs on offer. Now the audience for the newcomer has to do is vote. For the final on 23 May in Vienna that would certainly not mean anything: Elaiza occupied in 2014 only 18 square

Established Stars are not this time among the eight candidates, but with Andreas going and Mrs. Green perched. Winner of two talent shows. The 27-year-old rock and soul singer was going to the doctor yesterday, but should be fit again to the show. “We have someone who cares about him” joked Barbara Schoneberg, which hosted the show “Our Song for Austria”.

The range extends from medieval sounds (Faun) to electronics (Laing) to to the English ballad (Alexa Feser). The 35-year-old Feser has released her first album four months ago and is now nominated for an echo. The fact that she sings in German, is not a disadvantage for the Berlin-based. “Music has no language. The main thing is that you show real emotions and credible,” she said. However remembers her piano song “The Gold of tomorrow” much of Grönemeyer pieces.

The quality of the remaining posts is rather mixed. Thus, the electronic band Noize Generation offers more sonication for binge-disco, during the Medieval Folk Faun sounds bad stale. As a “modern Nature-Pop” rewrite the musicians of the project Fahrenhaidt their ethereal, insipid and impotent mid-tempo ballads. Laing’s electro-pop song “Show your muscles” is at least still quite funny, while Mrs. Green Bird with childlike voice harmless as well as swinging loose duets warbles. If at the end only Ann Sophie, who is traveling with a sexy soulful voice and two absolutely ESC-compatible songs. In the club concert in which they had secured the wildcard, they also offered a great show in the pantsuit -. And the absolute ESC-compatible

musical guests for the Hanoverian Tui Arena are out of competition the chart topper Mark Foster (“flash me”) and the Swiss soul singer Stefanie Heinzmann. Will open the show, the winner of the Euro Vision Song Contest 2014 Conchita Wurst. The bearded drag queen from Austria advertises worldwide since its ESC triumph for tolerance. In Hanover sausage is introduced for the first time their new song “You Are Unstoppable”. Sausage had just been in Berlin presents her autobiography “I Conchita. My story”. The work tells of discrimination to school, the parents’ love and the way up. A place on the bestseller lists is likely – since the ESC victory it is technically career for Conchita Wurst uphill. That should be incentive enough for the German ESC candidate
