The controversial German rock band Frei.Wild pauses. As the Echo Award winner from South Tyrol announced on their Facebook page, they pull the end of the year back.
“We listen to … our hearts” begins the interminable post, in which the band its decision explained. “At no single second we felt lethargy, Scenic or helplessness, at no time, we wanted to rest on our laurels or even dealing with a possible strip end. Boredom? Never heard of it.”
New developments planning
reason for the break rather be new projects and visions, strictly speaking, “two new and very large, high-risk venture.” What are these projects, did not want to tell the band. Too much is still unclear, and would not even break the tension
“We then say only times farewell, fans, and draw us back to us to dare to exactly these things, “said Frei.Wild on. Frontman Philip Burger faced “bild.de” but again clear: “We are not resolved – on the contrary, we get only a little air and then at full power in a new chapter to begin..”
when after the concerts in December again be heard of them, is unclear. The time last performances are planned from 27th to 29th of December in Mannheim, Hannover and Chemnitz.
We listen to … our hearts and play in December the time being last concerts. Dear fans, dear friends, love …

tape repeatedly criticized
The band was founded in 2001 Frei.Wild is repeatedly accused of spreading deutschtümelnde and violent lyrics. Burger had, however, repeatedly stated in interviews that he had broken away from its past as a skinhead years ago.
Make a scandal, there were in 2013 when music award Echo. Frei.Wild had been deleted from the nomination list. Groups such as motor club and the Berlin-based electro pop band MIA had canceled their participation at the Music Awards Gala in protest. 2016 received the tape but then the price, however, under boos and protests.
