Bring the lyrics to success in Leipzig: Jan Wagner
The large crowds and the noise level in the glass hall of the Leipzig Book Fair on opening day is a challenge for all who will listen while others talk about literature or there. Wagner, born in 1971 in Hamburg, lives as a poet, translator and publisher in Berlin. His first book of poems “pilot hole in the sky” appeared in 2001. Most recently, he was honored this year with the Moerike price. Also on the shortlist of Leipzig jury was this year Teresa Präauer (“Johnny and Jean”), Ursula Ackrill (“inside square brackets, in January”), Norbert Scheuer (“The Language of the Birds”) and Michael wild grove (“The Smile of Alligators “).

Frenetic is on the first day of the fair with the national focus of Israel’s victory Mirjam Pressler in the category translation for the novel “Judas” by Amos Oz, who will very solved together with Pressler on stage.
