Completion of the Book Fair: Internet critics Lanier receives Peace Award – Frankfurter Rundschau

At the end of the Frankfurt Book Fair Google and Facebook critic Jaron Lanier receives in St. Paul’s Church the Peace Prize of the German Book Trade. The industry pays tribute to the award “a pioneer of the digital world, has recognized the risks this for the free lifestyle of each person carries.” The 54-year-old peace laureate Lanier, a computer scientist from California, has contributed to the development of virtual worlds in earlier years even.
