Excitement in Schwermetaller- Municipality: With great excitement was Slayers eleventh studio album “Repentless” expected. Killer riffs, groovy midtempo parts and a singer Tom Araya at its best – Slayer really know yet how to do it

Slayers eleventh studio album “Repentless” is there.. It is the first album after the death of Bandmitgründer and guitarist Jeff Hanneman 2013. The question is asked: Can the kings of thrash metal without their former principal songwriter – after some quality fluctuations in the recent past – to the glory days of the 80s and build early 90s?

The twelve songs of “Repentless” how long do not show the band in good shape. Killer riffs, groovy midtempo parts and a singer Tom Araya at its best – Slayer really know yet how to do it.

“Slayer have still got it”

And above all hovers the spirit of Jeff Hanneman, of which there are still individual song fragments on the disk. “I am extremely proud of the album. It is a statement: Slayer have still got it, “gang boss Kerry King told Deutsche Presse-Agentur.

He is sure: “Jeff would have been proud of the new Slayer album.” The guitarist is certainly aware of what is at stake for the band. “We need to prove that Slayer after the death of Jeff still make sense,” said King
