The head of the Afghan Taliban, Mullah Mohammed Omar, is dead. As an Afghan government officials on Wednesday the German Press Agency in the capital Kabul said he died two years ago in Pakistan. “We have confirmation from the Pakistani authorities and Taliban sources that he died two years ago from a disease in Pakistan,” said the government official, who asked not to be named. The Pakistani “Express Tribune” reported that Omar had died of tuberculosis disease. Evidence is there not sure. The Taliban, however, deny the death of their leader.
