B ei the murder of Dresdner Bank chief Juergen Ponto 1977 Hamburg lawyer daughter Susanne Albrecht was Türöffnerin. They took advantage of the friendship between the two families to give the RAF terrorist Brigitte Mohnhaupt and Christian Klar access to the Villa of the Frankfurt banker. As her family lives with this burden? Have the parents fault that it came this far? Not wearing the siblings shared responsibility?

Susanne Albrecht’s sister Julia, who has already 2011 released together with the Ponto-daughter Corinna the workup book “Godfather daughters”, sits in her documentary “The consequences of Indeed, “in the ARD on Wednesday (22.45 clock) very close and personal with these questions apart. “For us it was an issue that needs to be told. It’s part of our history”, said EU WDR editor Jutta Krug Deutsche Presse-Agentur.

“I felt as a victim”

The 51-year-old lawyer and journalist Julia Albrecht’s what the film is not about the role that their now 64-year-old sister Susanne in that German Autumn in the terrorist association Red Army Faction (RAF ) played. In conversations especially with her mother and older brother, with letters and memories of the now deceased father she draws along with co-director Dagmar Gallenmüller to how the family of one’s own history almost breaks.

” For me, Susanne was the destroyer of our family, “the brother said once. “I felt as a victim, but as a second-class victims.” He sought a distance by a move to Spain. The third oldest sister lives in Paris. She did not participate in the work-up of the family drama in front of the camera.

caller called them “murderers mother”

the more intense is the conversation with the mother. For two days, the then 84-year-old lady was (from anonymous callers “killer mom” called) surveys almost mercilessly by her daughter. How could she be so “abysmally naive” not to notice Susan sliding into terrorism scene? Even when the student is 1974 arrested for smuggling of bomb detonators, the mother still believes her trivializing lies. “You can a child not so violated,” she says.

Probably the worst time for the family were the years after the fact, where Susanne dived using the Stasi in East Germany , married and a child got. Thirteen years there was no sign of life from her. “For years I drove behind blue beetles because that was their last car,” says the mother.

The project was for years on ice

After the turn is Susanne arrested. When it comes Kronzeugin thereof with a twelve years’ imprisonment, after six years it is released early. Since then she has lived under a different name in northern Germany. “Susanne does not speak about what happened, at least not publicly,” said her sister. “And our attempts in private at some point failed miserably.”

Participation in the film refused the former terrorist. And the mother was temporarily backtracked – the project was for years on ice. Nevertheless, those responsible held firmly to the implementation. “We have made no voyeuristic film about Susanne Albrecht, but a film about the family,” says producer Thomas Kufus (zero one film). “And the family has a right to their history.”
