The images are gorgeous, the performer as well – all of course the unmistakable Bill Murray as a rock manager and Kate Hudson as a precious prostitutes. In “Rock The Kasbah” give an odd couple that works together great though. It’s about the Alt-rockers and music agents Richie Lanz (Bill Murray), who has seen better days. An Afghanistan-tour with his latest discovery Ronnie (Zooey Deschanel) will finally bring him namely forward again. But as soon as the two arrived at the chaotic Kabul, Richie instantly without its singer, money and papers there.
Along with the mercenaries Bombay Brian (Bruce Willis), the seductive harlot Merci (Kate Hudson) and two windy arms dealers can be Richie willy-nilly on a risky business, in order to raise money for the return journey. He discovered in the depths of Afghan hinterland a young locals with a phenomenal voice. Richie now know what to do: he has this girl using the program “Afghan Star” make famous, cost what it may! This desire could cost him his life. But what is even worse: the life of the young singer (Leem Lubany) depends more than once by a thread, for her father, her village, and ultimately the whole country see it quite differently: A Pashtun not sing

The film by Barry Levinson ( “Good Morning, Vietnam”) is based on a true story. The film is about one or the other fact that makes a country like Afghanistan, gone away relatively nonchalant – that may strike some viewers who are on more information or truthfulness of burp.
