Following the attacks in Paris are the band Eagles of Death Metal an interview. The shock is the musicians still evident in the faces. On the stage of the “Bataclan”, where about 90 people died, they want to return anyway.

The musicians have to interrupt the interview several times, their voices falter again they are close to tears. Almost two weeks after the terrorist attacks of Paris has “Vice” published an interview with the US band Eagles of Death Metal.

The aim of the terrorists was on November 13, a presentation of the group in the “Bataclan”. In the concert hall, the attacker directed a massacre. Approximately 90 of at least 130 dead of the series of murders in the French capital died there.

Several people have been hiding in the locker room of the musician, tells frontman Jesse Hughes. The assassins had come into the room and were all killed – “except for one person who hid under my leather jacket.” Many people had to be dead, reports Hughes. While he was looking for his girlfriend, he had a sudden one of the bombers faced. The man had aimed at him, the ball was hit, but against the door frame.

Also Tonmann Shawn London suddenly found himself one of the bombers directly opposite. “He met my console, the buttons are flown anywhere,” says London. He had immediately thrown to the ground, while the assassin ever shot and with all his strength “Allahu Akbar” (Allah is great) was screaming.

Hughes looks in the interview barely upwards. He starts to cry, if he remembered about how the decision taken by balls Band Manager Nick Alexander died. He had not called for help, “because he did not want anyone else gets hurt.” At the same time Hughes makes even allegations, to have the bassist Matt McJunkins left on stage. “I felt so guilty.” He thinks the main reason why so many people were killed, either because so many would not leave her friends. “So many people have brought to others.”

Band co-founder Josh Homme was at the show not present. When he heard about the attack, he had a moment needed to believe it. During part of the interview Homme holds a list with the names of the dead in his hands. “I wish I could talk to her parents.” What would he say to them? Josh shrugs, his words falter. “Perhaps there is nothing that I could really say … maybe it’s okay that there are no words for it, perhaps there should be no words for it.”

Your tour will reflect the band continue and play again in the “Bataclan” as soon as the concert hall will open again. “Since we have no real choice,” says Homme. Not only the terrorists, they too would people “recruit” and indeed for being part of life, says Homme and suggested doing a cautious laugh.

Hughes says that he could not wait to get back to come to Paris and to play there again. “I want to be the first band to the” “plays when it reopens” Bataclan, he emphasizes. “Our friends were there to see rock and roll, and died. I want to go back and live “

The band called in the interview musicians to their song” about covers I Love You All The Time. “- No matter the genre. All proceeds from this they want to donate and called streaming services on to follow them.
