Modiano receives for his “art of memory” Nobel Prize in Literature – Frankfurter Rundschau

The most important literary prize in the world in 2014 goes to Frenchman Patrick Modiano, who was known for stories of Nazi-occupied Paris. The 69-year-old get a Nobel Prize for his “art of memory”, he’ll call in his own language incomprehensible human destinies awake. This was announced by the Swedish Academy in Stockholm. It is the 15th time that the price goes to France. “I could not believe it and had to first go for a walk,” Modiano said at a press conference in Paris. (AP)
