Sociologist: Zygmunt Bauman is dead – TIME ONLINE

The Polish-British philosopher and sociologist Zygmunt Bauman has died. The Polish-born left-wing thinker, died on Monday at the age of 91 in his home in Leeds, England, informed the philosophy Professor Anna Zejdler-Janiszewska. She was informed about the death of Baumans of his partner.

Bauman was regarded as one of the most prominent and prolific European sociologists of the last decades. Baumann wrote more than 50 books. The best known is the 1989 released dialectics of order. Modernity and the Holocaust.
