The first few minutes of this “crime scene” were exciting: Commissioner Lannert (Richy Müller) pursued without light a car. His hands are chained to the wheel of his Porsche. Then we see a flashback. The officer searched a truck – and finds 23 dead refugees. The Stuttgart Crime offered solid thriller fare – and was also disturbingly close to reality.
What rating enter the scene” the promised land “?
And that was it: After the gruesome discovery of the dead body of the Commissioner of guilt is driven. He had the truck under surveillance for hours before – people could have saved by rapid intervention
Emotional upset he chases the alleged smuggling Milan Kostic (Sasha Alexander Gersak) and its sister Mitra (madita).. the three in a refugee home meet and experience nightmarish minutes in which a SWAT’s home searched for them – to Lannert them ultimately helps to flee in order to save the lives 40 additional refugees
.
Shockingly realistic story
the makers of the Stuttgart “crime scene” grappled with a current political issue and made a great, credible and emotionally moving Crime therefrom. Author Christian Jeltsch developed after two years of research a story that could open many spectators the heart for refugees. It became clear how much some people take upon themselves to leave their country. In August 2015, suffocated in the back of a truck actually 71 refugees. This had been parked on the A4 in Parndorf in Burgenland, Austria on the hard shoulder
No whitewashing
Good was also that was omitted whitewashing. So the criminal energy was some refugees and the widespread loss of confidence addressed to the police. A refugee steals Commissioner Lannert (Richy Müller) the phone. Another lie to his colleagues Sebastian Bootz (Felix Klare) and boycotted the Search Lannert because he owes this smugglers money
oppressive setting
Exciting was in this scene the setting.: the four main characters were packed most of the time in a small room. Two of them think feverishly how to escape. The actors played this almost hopeless situation compelling and complex. Richy Müller also and Felix Klare presented their guilt and relief that they were able to welcome the second refugee charge alive, is authentic. Especially the final scene, in which Lannert includes the rescued refugees with a “Welcome” in the arms, moving . and formed a strong final image
Crime without frills
conclusion: “In the promised land” was an exciting thriller with no frills, the credible and ambitious dealt with one aspect of the refugee crisis – the illegal and often life-threatening transporting desperate people. Particularly beneficial was the fact that – unlike in the past crime scenes – not private dramas or conflicts between investigators about were. Crime food is pure and good times.
