German Film Awards 2015: Nominations Victoria, Dresen – SPIEGEL ONLINE

The Thriller “Victoria” and the drama “Elser – He could have changed the world”, the favorites for the German Film Prize 2015. Both films are received on Thursday in Berlin seven nominations. The film prize will be awarded on 19 June in Berlin of the German Film Academy.

Stefan Weigl’s book “Time of Cannibals” and Ralf Westhoff’s “We are the new” round out the category.

A big disappointment may have been the nominations for Andreas Dresen. His latest film “As we dreamed” based on the bestseller by Clemens Meyer was nominated for Best Editing. For Christian Petzold’s melodrama “Phoenix” there were only two nominations for drama performances, Fatih Akin’s “The Cut” was honored for the best costume and makeup.

The consultants satire “Time of Cannibals”, the social drama “Jack” and “The Labyrinth of silence” are likely to appreciate the extensive attention from the German Film Academy itself, however: They were honored with three nominations.
