And so the 24-year-old was not just Germany ESC candidate. But also: the next best thing. On Saturday it’s time for the big ESC-TV transmission. Ann Sophie is going to start 17th on the grid. And somehow is not much more is known about the Hamburg woman, as she is the woman who starts instead of going – the woman who happens instead of the big ESC sensation. Ann also Sophie’s winning song remained on the charts far behind cares “Heart of Stone”.

It might even be that – in addition to Germany’s European plenty unpopular policies in the euro crisis – Ann Sophie tarnishes chances reap a greater number of points. Ann Sophie she contends with voluminous, sometimes rousing voice and little extra show. But then the song holds perhaps a little too much to the standards and conventions of the Soul-Pop to really surprise can. A charming piece – which ultimately will remember what it then but could not afford to. Just a little bit is the way via Ann Sophie now reported before the competition. When Ann Sophie wants to escape this trap, it is more than simply have to sing “good”.
