It is always funny to watch, if for use International imaginary blockbuster films are original titles for use in German-speaking countries wanted, but then can not be found. Outside of the marketing department of Disney, there should be no one who could explain conclusively why the original title of Brad Birds science fiction drama “Tomorrowland” to “A World Beyond” quasi had to be “Germanized”.
60 years ago, Walt Disney created for his theme park world, a “Tomorrowland” which was then presented a few years later at the World Exhibition in New York (1964). Here ties Brad Bird (“Ratatouille”, “Mission Impossible – Ghost Protocol”) with its history. The seven clever student Frank Walker (Thomas Robinson, as an adult, George Clooney) is shouldering its homemade jetpack and breaks to New York Expo on. They did not want but for his invention, except for the very mysterious, about the same age Athena (Raffey Cassidy) – she puts him a Ansteckknopf to serving as a ticket into the parallel world “Tomorrowland”. Here we see not only a flying suspension railway, but a whole load of optimism about the future, appears feasible with any utopia.
Many years later we learn woken student Casey (Britt Robertson) know. The social confidence is gone, the climate change with glacial melt and flood dominated alongside reports of terrorist attacks, the news. Cape Canaveral is also scaled back because the time of space exploration has become past. By an invisible hand Casey falls exactly a Pin in the womb, as it was decades ago, Frank. Thus, the two come together:. The inquisitive and optimistic student and the disillusioned (adult) Frank
Of course, the evil in the world materialized Utopia arrived. There a scientist (Hugh Laurie) controls a violent and brutal robot army straight towards the elimination of any future confidence. Were it not for Frank, Casey and the young at heart Athena, which give us in their defense against the pessimism amazing insights: How the Eiffel Tower in Paris in truth is a rocket launcher. Besides a lot of Disney product placement of these science fiction strip brings a grown old, embittered Clooney. Is it quite well
