The world is unjust. Some live in peace and prosperity, the others have none of it. In “Star Trek Beyond” rises as a Excluded against inequality, with hatred and violence. An action-packed and humorous space adventure begins

The voltage is high, the expectations are high. With “Star Trek Beyond” no ordinary film starts in cinemas. The adventures of the Starfleet are cult. What began in 1966 as a TV series, has grown into a franchise company with more than 700 TV episodes and 13 feature films since then.

For the 50th anniversary of the saga have “Fast and Furious” director Justin Lin and producer JJ Abrams why some ascended: Dramatic battle scenes, elaborately staged images, strong emotions and many comic moments. In addition to echoes of the legendary series, there are also 50 species alien and a small, exquisite musical style break, a “sabotage” of the Beastie Boys.

The third part of the launched in 2009 edition is less gloomy and thoughtful than the two first parts. “Beyond” has many funny dialogues, but also relies heavily on action, as they are known from “Star Wars” or “The Avengers”. For some fans of overkill, some Trekkies had that earlier fears a “Marvelisierung”. For others, however, the film offers exactly what you expect: excitement, fun and long-familiar characters like Captain Kirk (Chris Pine), Spock (Zachary Quinto) or Lieutenant Uhura (Zoe Saldana). Simon Pegg is also back again, as engineer Scotty, expert for Beaming, and as co-author of the script

The Enterprise researched for three years, the vastness of the universe. Suddenly an ambush: Thousands Flying Objects drill as spearheads in the ship. When emergency landing on an inhospitable planet the crew members are scattered. In small groups, they try to find the others and get to safety. On the planet lurks the mysterious Krall, with overwhelming forces in alliance which wants to destroy the United Federation of Planets. With his last strength Starfleet researchers take the fight against him.

inventor Gene Roddenberry realized in his stories the vision of a world who live together in harmony in the diverse creatures and to peace. In “Beyond” the order is threatened by the neglected, the outcasts who feel let down by the Federation in the lurch. Idris Elba ( “Mandela”) gives a brilliant performance as Krall who hides behind a terrible mask. He has nurtured over many years, bitterly disappointed by the complacency before does not seem to be immune the Federation his blind hatred, they still like so much insist on dignity and equality.

Over the many action scenes and effects one might be divided. There are many beautiful emotional scenes. Director Lin has the idiosyncrasies of the characters developed further, although this would have more detail can happen. Funny: The insight into everyday life on board the Enterprise, beyond the bridge. The pretty Uhura and Spock brittle are still in love, but go after a dispute out of the way. And in rare moments granted Mr. Spock tiny insight into his emotions – crying, and even laughing, close to each other

And then there’s the aliens Jaylah (Sofia Boutella – “Kingsman: The Secret Service”).. Krall and his killers have their people slaughtered, she has since lived hidden. Like a shy animal, it can be suspicious of it, one to fight with Kirk and the other for freedom.

hidden on the edge there is a small story that fits the spirit of Star Trek, social, political seize or ideological issues. Helmsman Hikaru Sulu who identifies as gay. Lovingly he puts his arm around his partner and hugs the daughter that they raise. A casual moment which should be a tribute to George Takei, Sulu performer from the old series, of his homosexuality made publicly of 2005. “I am glad that there is now a gay character,” Takei told the magazine “Hollywood Reporter”. And added: But why Sulu? This distorts the well thought of Roddenbury figure who had always been heterosexual. The new “Sulu” John Cho on the other hand it looks positive. “It is also, I Want for us as a species: that will no longer be our personal orientations be politicized,” he said of the Australian “Herald Sun”

A tribute is there also. uncredited. Because the film is dedicated to two dead: Leonard Nimoy, the very first Mr. Spock. And Anton Yelchin. As Chekov he navigates the Enterprise sent through space and is so naive and friendly that all include him in the heart. In the planned sequel to “Star Trek” it is no longer sitting on the bridge. He died on June 19 in an accident, with 27 producer J.J. Abrams tweeted at the time: “You were brilliant. You were friendly. You were damn funny and very talented. And you were here not nearly long enough. Miss you. “
