The Congolese singer Papa Wemba, one of the most popular musicians in Africa, is dead. He died early Sunday morning in Abidjan (Ivory Coast), reported local media. Radio France International reported the death also citing his manager. Papa Wemba suddenly collapsed during a performance at the “FEMUA 2016″ music festival. Videos of the concert show how he is on the stage floor, while the dancers initially go before him with the show. The cause of death is unknown
Born in 1949, Singer, with original name Jules Shungu Wembadio Pene Kikumba, was considered a king of Congolese rumba. And their “Soukous” mentioned more modern form that enjoyed great success on the African continent. His career spans nearly five decades.
