I can tell definitely what has changed in my life since the band Reamonn. It was me just totally important to be able to decide. In a band that is not necessarily. The album did you first recorded in your adopted hometown of Berlin.. What do you mean?
That’s right, so far I have always taken up abroad, because I need concentration in the studio. But now I was at a point in my life where it was possible to record in Berlin. However, you’ve now turned several times in the debate about refugees.. At the German Radio Award in early September as you explained, in every country there are idiots – and when are loud, the others would just be louder. You are basically very socially committed. What exactly you will now move in the current refugee debate?

I am not able and entitled to give advice to the Germans. I myself am a guest here and behave that way. But when it comes to human rights, everyone has an opinion, no matter where he stands. If you’re 65 and alone in your house, then you are afraid.

I understand the fear that people have. But of course no one has the right to condemn someone because of creed, color or origin. Only when you give someone a hand, you can begin to form an opinion – and only on that person. I think the politicians have the people too little explains what is at stake and who these people are. You have the country unprepared for the events, although for many years it is clear that it would happen.
What do you mean?

In Ireland, the government has decided to take 800 refugees. I have an awful lot of fun with it. It deals with music – but not their own.
