Report on Koma of folk music legend Joni Mitchell rejected – STERN

D IE Folk music legend Joni Mitchell is after their hospital admission contrary to a media report on the mend. “Contrary to the rumors that are circulating on the Internet today, Joni not in a coma,” it said on its official website. The 71-year-old musician had “gathered all their senses”. “A full recovery is expected,” the report said.

Previously the celebrity website TMZ had reported that Mitchell lay in a coma and is no longer accessible. A friend of hers had requested the guardianship of Mitchell. The Canadian musician was therefore “so impaired that they are not in the position to assess”.

In Mitchell’s website it said, the singer giving her longtime friend Leslie Morris, only the available to make medical decisions for you if it was no longer in the hospital. “As we all know, Joni is a strong-willed woman and a long way from the fight to abandon” it said on the website. Mitchell’s first spokesman did not comment.

The musician had been admitted to hospital in early April in Los Angeles. According to the company Mitchell suffers from the so-called Morgellons disease in which those affected tingling or stinging feeling on the skin. Some doctors this disease is interpreted as psychosis.

Mitchell, who actually Roberta Joan Anderson called, is one of the most important singer-songwriters of the 70s and 80s and is considered a symbol of Woodstock- generation. Among her hits “The Circle Game”, “Big Yellow Taxi” and “Help Me”. Throughout her career she has won eight Grammys.
