What a visionary board! Nagging pop hits razor sharp electronics. Beat cascades, Synth Strings, Hooligan thunder and testosterone Theater. All this was to “Please”, the debut album of Pet Shop Boys. It appeared in March 1986 and was the overture of an impressive work canon.
30 years later, the British pop duo is now bringing out his 13th studio disc. Less visions more zeitgeist, all “super”. The promises of the title and bringing the go-ahead to the point of euphoria that pervades the twelve songs. Or rather: Tracks. Because there are pieces that Neil Tennant and Chris Lowe have come up with. It’s become very danceable puppet theater, the producer Stuart Price two men tailors to the 60 on the body, which would of course never persuade. No choreography, zero sex appeal, this has always been the credo of the Pet Shop Boys. Now it helps to hide the possible arthritis
“Super” is a constant drumbeat. No Pops moments.? Oh yes, for the first single “The Pop Kids” Tennant and Lowe have again started up their story machine. They tell of two teenagers who are drawn in the nineties of the Province to London, of course, the songs on the radio because, because of longing and life-affirming pop music, and because it has been issued to many people as well, combines this song fans from Yorkshire, Upstate New York and East Westphalia which just 1995 otherwise on the dance floor thought as:. “I am never going home”

For the first time
