Gerhard Zwerenz belonged in the 70′s of the most famous writers of the West German Left. His works were among more than 100 books – novels about detective stories and children’s books to erotic-pornographic texts. For the PDS, he sat in the 90s in the Bundestag. Born in 1925 in the Saxon Gablenz, he became the People’s Police and SED member. As a philosophy student at Ernst Bloch however Zwerenz advocated an anti-Stalinist “special German path to socialism” a. He was expelled from the SED and fled in 1957 to the West. There he distinguished himself quickly as a belligerent left writers.
