The attorneys Wolfgang Heer, Wolfgang Stahl and Anja Sturm have the main culprit in the NSU-process, Beate Zschäpe, continue to defend. The Munich Higher Regional Court refused to release her from her mandate. This had applied in the morning the three defenders. Because it is public defender, the court could only decide.

At noon an open quarrel between the defenders of the main defendants Zschäpe had broken out. Their new lawyer Mathias Grasel said after confidential consultation with Zschäpe whose previous lawyers they had not been informed of discussions with the court. Previously, the presiding judge Manfred Götzl had reported conversations which he had performed at the edge of the process in the past few weeks with the lawyers.

Army, steel and Sturm had given the appointment of a fourth Public Defender expressed skepticism and claims done that “internal relations” between the defense and the accused Zschäpe could be weakened. Lawyer army stressed, however: “I have at no time a fourth PV (Public Defender) rejected.” He urged the judge to, drafted his summary of attorney talks in writing and to make available for inspection.

More recently, the Court had ordered a fourth defender Mathias Grasel. To the 30-year-olds, the accused has obviously a relationship of trust. Zschäpe has since May 2013 responsible for ten murders that the “National Socialist Underground” accuses the Attorney General.
