After brain tumor, “Gilmore Girls” star Edward Herrmann dead – evening paper Munich

actor Edward Herrmann died at 71 years, New Year’s Eve in New York. He was known among other things an entrepreneur Richard Gilmore in the television series “Gilmore Girls” (2000-2007)

The list of the 2014 late actor was apparently not yet complete. On New Years Eve and actor Edward Herrmann now died in New York. The American was 71 years old. He was known through his portrayal of Herman Munster “Here Come the Munsters” (“Here Come the Munsters”, 1995) and for his role as entrepreneur Richard Gilmore in the television series “Gilmore Girls” (2000-2007).

“TMZ.com” further reports that he had suffered, according to his family from a brain tumor. Herrmann was born July 21, 1943 in the State of Washington and began his career in the 1970s. In the following decades he stood above all for TV productions, including “Grey’s Anatomy,” “30 Rock” and “How I Met Your Mother” in front of the camera. For his guest appearance in the series “The Practice” (“Practice – The lawyers’  ), he was awarded an Emmy in 1999

Lauren Graham (47), Herrmann’s “Gilmore Girls” series daughter Lorelai, tweeted: “My friend Ed Herrmann was the nicest, most stylish, talented man, it was an honor and a pleasure to know him -.. a bitter blow to lose him”
