The candidates start their new life on a site at King Wusterhausen southeast of Berlin . There they live in an unheated barn with two cows, some chickens and some fertile farmland. Here they are their idea of a society realize with its own laws .

The participants in the program were recruited from all sectors of society. The question to be answered during the show: What would be my ideal society, if I could decide for themselves? If it were just, more peaceful, socially? A year to the 15 candidates together in “Newtopia” where they create their desired company from the ground up. There are no rules, except they give themselves. There are no leaders, except they determine.
